The unforgettable experience
For well over 100 years, passengers have been transported from the center of Bad Wildbad to the high plateau of the Sommerberg by one of the most modern funiculars in Germany. A magnificent view awaits you at the top, 300 meters above the valley.
There is an elevator at the top station and the funicular railway is fully accessible. For nature experiences, adventures, walks, hikes, bicycle and mountain bike tours, the Sommerberg is the starting point.

Fahrplan
The railway departs every 30 minutes, at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. Please note that the first and last gondola leaves at the indicated times.

How to get there
The bottom station of the Sommerberg funicular railway is located right in the city center, close to the Uhlandplatz S-Bahn station.

Riding up the Sommerberg is something to behold! With spectacular views of the city, it is a short but very pleasant ride. Once you get to the top, the paths to the WILDLINE and to the treetop walk are very well signposted.

The mountain station has a lovingly designed exhibition. This is definitely the best way to get to the Sommerberg and a great way to start a great day out.
